I start by understanding the problem space through data analysis, and stakeholder input. This phase focuses on uncovering user needs, business goals, and constraints, as well as any competitor analysis, then synthesizing insights into clear problem statements and opportunity areas to guide design decisions.

Wireframing + Flows

I translate research insights into low-fidelity wireframes and user flows that map core journeys, personas, and edge cases. This stage focuses on structure, hierarchy, and usability while exploring different experience permutations. Using AI-assisted tools like Figma Make helps accelerate exploration and iteration, enabling ideas to be validated quickly before moving into high-fidelity design.

User Testing

Concepts and flows are validated through usability testing and feedback sessions with real users. I use this stage to identify friction points, validate assumptions, and refine interactions, ensuring solutions are intuitive and aligned with user expectations.

Hi-Fidelity Mocks

Approved concepts are elevated into high-fidelity designs that align with the design system and brand. This phase focuses on visual clarity, interaction details, accessibility, and responsiveness, bringing the product to life while staying grounded in feasibility.

Spec + Handoff

I prepare detailed design specs and collaborate closely with engineering to ensure smooth implementation. This includes documenting components, states, interactions, and edge cases, and staying available to answer questions and unblock development.

Once features are built, I partner with engineering to QA against design intent and user experience standards. This stage ensures visual accuracy, interaction quality, accessibility, and overall polish, refining details before release.
